Original abstract
This thesis develops a optical and electrical design framework for high-performance transparent and semi-transparent photovoltaic systems. Metamaterial-based absorbers and multilayer oxide electrodes are engineered to enhance broadband light absorption while maintaining high visible transmittance (70–95%) and angular stability. Simplified hole-transport-layer-free perovskite solar cell architectures are also investigated to improve efficiency and operational stability, achieving power conversion efficiencies above 29%. Case studies of building- and vehicle-integrated photovoltaics demonstrate the practical potential of transparent solar technologies for sustainable energy generation.
