Original abstract
High Resolution Image Download MS PowerPoint Slide Photoinduced hot charge carriers have garnered a lot of interest in perovskite photovoltaics due to numerous reports on their special attributes. Hot charge carriers, reportedly, can transfer to charge-acceptor layers extremely quickly, diffuse at quasi-ballistic speed, achieve multi-exciton generation, and there are even plans for a hot-carrier solar cell to overcome the Shockley–Queisser limit. We put hot-carrier theories to the test and found that most of them could not be replicated, they have discrepancies with other measurements, or the phenomena can be explained by mundane theories.
