Original abstract

The accelerating adoption of EVs is playing a transformative role in the global transition toward sustainable and low-carbon transportation systems. This rapid growth, while beneficial from an environmental standpoint, presents significant challenges to existing power system infrastructure, particularly in terms of EVCS. The aggregated and often uncoordinated charging demand from EVCS can cause substantial stress on the power distribution network, leading to voltage fluctuations, increased peak loads, network congestion, and reliability issues. In this context, effective load management strategies for EVCS have become essential to ensure the stability and efficiency of power system operations. Traditional grid-centric solutions are often inadequate in addressing the dynamic and localized nature of EV charging loads. Therefore, integrating renewable DG sources, such as solar photovoltaics and wind turbines located in proximity to EVCS, offers a promising pathway for reducing the burden on the central grid. These sources can provide localized energy support, reduce peak demand, and enhance energy resilience.
