Original abstract
The paper presents the results of a study of the phase composition and morphology of Cu-Ni-Sn precursors obtained by magnetron sputtering, depending on the elemental composition and type of substrates (Ti-foil and glass/Mo).It has been established that the precursors have a similar surface morphology of the Cu-Ni-Sn layer regardless of the substrate type and elemental composition.Investigations revealed that the choice of substrate had no discernible impact on the elemental stoichiometry or surface topography of the deposited precursors.Across all samples, a homogeneous distribution of constituent elements was observed, alongside a distinct polycrystalline nature and a multiphase structural composition. The established patterns of formation of Cu-Ni-Sn precursors on various types of substrates will allow synthesizing semiconductor Cu2NiSn(S, Se)4 thin films, which are used to create efficient thin-film solar cells of a new generation.
